Along with being the Chairman of Godrej Fund Management, Godrej Properties Limited, Godrej Housing Finance Limited, Pirojsha is also a Non-Executive Director at Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Godrej Agrovet Limited. Under his able leadership as CEO, Godrej Properties has become one of the fastest-growing real estate developers in India, and for the first time in FY-2016, emerged as India’s largest publicly listed real estate developer (by sales).
A graduate from the Wharton School of Business, with a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Columbia Business School, Pirojsha is the recipient of several noteworthy recognitions such as the Green Champion Award from the Indian Green Building Council (2016), Best CEO of the Year at the Construction Times Awards (2015), Best People CEO Award by the National Human Resource Development Network (2014) and Person of the Year at the GIREM Leadership Awards (2013). Pirojsha has travelled to over 90 countries and every continent in the world. His interests include chess, scuba diving, and collecting rare books. He is married and is the proud father of two young daughters.
Managing Director and CEO
Karan is the Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Fund Management. He founded the private equity real estate business for the Godrej Group and is responsible for investments, strategy, operations, transformations, and exits across platforms. He works with leading institutional capital providers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and private equity funds globally to partner them on their investment programs. Having joined the Godrej Group in 2009, Karan has worked across the areas of investments, strategy and development and has overseen the deployment of capital in excess of US$ 5 Billion.
Karan serves as a member of the Manager Advisory Council at ANREV, the leading platform for investors in the Asia Pacific non-listed real estate industry, with the goal of improving transparency and best practice across the region. He holds advanced degrees from Columbia University and the University of Florida and currently resides in Singapore with his family.
